ordinary moments, 5th and Frolic....
the ordinary.
the everyday that you think you will just remember forever.. but you can't.
can you relate?
These moments can often be pushed aside when it comes time to scrapbook. Sometimes I see the amazing products I am blessed to design with and only want to pull out the newest most perfect photos to highlight with them and often that does work for me, but sometimes I see some colors or an embellishment and a memory pops up… when I saw all the homeyness of the gorgeous October Paper Bakery kits all I could think of was some of the things around the house I love… where we make memories and things I adore… we adore. I instantly went searching through my computer and found exactly what I was looking for! I found several photos of a little girl in the kitchen sink splashing around and then after them... the picture on this page. A girl just hanging out, drying off with her most treasured possession, her DD. her blankie. amazingly it looks so nice and new here, but D is a mess now... torn ripped, well loved and well traveled. it makes this mama heart so very happy I have this picture captured before D was so worn.
"love and captured"
I layered many of the pretty papers up, adding one of the canvas banners from the project kit…. wait until you see more of that :)
I also used the ribbon to tie my design all together, by laying it across the whole page. I also enjoyed all of the little chipboard and sticker pieces and sprinkled and layered them all around my design.
I also wanted to pull some of the colors to the bottom of the page and so I cut random bits of the patterns and layered them across in a funky line, adding a doilie and one of the pretty chipboard pieces in the kit.
The October kits are just stunning, soft, yet bold and absolutely beautiful… you will need one of your own for sure! I cannot stop playing with mine!
and I CANNOT wait to come back and share more of my designs with all of you!!
